CONSIGNMENT INFORMATION

Ritzy Ragz & Thingz strives to meet the needs of all our consignors and clients. We truly wish that we could accept everything from everyone, but due to space limitations and demands, we cannot accept everything. Our policies are in place, and our decisions at intake are made based on our business model, our space limitations and our client demand. If your clothing items are not accepted, please do not take it personally. There is nothing wrong with your clothes or your style choice they just are not items that we think we can sell at this time. If you have questions about your items that were not accepted, please feel free to ask, but we will be honest about the reason. And if we can recommend another consignment shop that might be able to take them we will. Thank you for your understanding and continued patronage of our stores. 

 

 What do we accept?

  • We take Designer Name Brands Clothing, Shoes & Accessories. Preference of items will always be given to in season, top designers and most sought after labels & sizes.
  • We accept clothing, jewelry, handbags, belts, shoes and other wearable accessories.
  • We accept Sizes 0 – 16.
  • We do not accept common black, brown or navy shoes or handbags. We cannot accept lingerie, bathing suits (except in our kids store), body suits, wedding gowns or work-out wear.
  • Your fashions should be less than two years old and in excellent condition. We accept styles that people are wearing now and in season. Year round we accept unique, currently fashionable vintage clothing & accessories, funky jackets and furs.

 

When to bring in your items?

  • Each store has their own specifics on days of consignment, please check locations page.
  • You may bring in any number of items. For many reasons we most likely will not be able to look at your items on the spot. You may leave your items and we will call you to come back for the items we cannot take or you may choose to have us donate them. We donate to Ripon Christian Thrift & other local shelters for women. Once we call you to pick up the items we cannot accept you will have 48 hours to come back for your items. Due to space limitations, after 48 hours they will be donated.
  • All items must be brought in on hangers, freshly dry-cleaned & pressed. Children’s items may be freshly folded in a paper bag, box or bin, we never accept items in trash bags.

 

Other Consignment Information

  • The initial consignment period is 60 days. Items valued at over $75.00 and jewelry will remain on consignment for 6 months. If you choose to pick up your items you must give us 48 hours notice between the 45th and 60th day. You may not pick up your items before 45 days.
  • The consignor will receive 40% of the Final Selling Price. We may add buyers fees to your items that will not be included in your 40%.
  • Please note that all items are subject to markdowns at anytime at the discretion of Ritzy Ragz. Ritzy Ragz reserves the right to move your items between our stores to increase effective selling of your items.
  • Ritzy Ragz & Thingz will set the prices on your items based on previous selling history of like items, current trends, demand and current selling space. Please understand that your items will not sell for the price you bought them for.
  • It is the consignors responsibility to call and check on your account and your items. We will NOT call you. You may request a check anytime you have funds on your account. Checks are paid the 15th of the month following your request. (Ex. if you request it on Dec 1st, the check will be cut Jan 15th). Checks are paid by a 3rd party and take 7-10 business days to process. Please notify us wihtin 6 months if you do not receive your requested check. We regret we cannot trace any check beyond 6 months.
  • Consignors may use your funds in any of our stores any time and receive a 15% discount.
  • Items may be donated at any time if they are stained or damaged. We may attempt to clean or repair if we feel it is cost effective, in which case the amount will be deducted from your proceeds.
  • We regret that due to space and business demands your items will not be returned to you at the end of the consignment period, unless the value is over $75.00. Once we determine that your item will not sell, it will be donated. Please be assured that we will make every effort to sell your items because we want you to be happy so you keep coming back. When you are happy we are happy, but for many reasons your items may not sell and we have to keep our inventory fresh and make room for your new items. And remember, you cleared it out of your closet for a reason, why bring it back?
